What are the rules of TEQBALL?

In our previous blog post we went over what TEQBALL is and why it's so popular. Now we are going to explain the TEQBALL rules so that you can get to playing this incredible sport!

TEQBALL Match Format

  • Size five footballs are official and recommended.
  • Best-of-three sets.
  • Each set is played until a player/team reaches 12 points.
  • The final set must be won by at least a two-point margin.
  • Players switch sides after each set.
  • In the final set, switch sides at 6/12/18 points.

TEQBALL Service Rules

  • Points start with a service; each player/team has two attempts to serve successfully.
  • Service changes after every four points.

TEQBALL Gameplay Rules

  • The ball must be returned to the opponent’s side using a maximum of three touches.
  • Hands and arms cannot be used.
  • The same body part cannot touch the ball consecutively.
  • In doubles, both players must touch the ball before returning it.
  • Players cannot touch the table or the opponent during play.
  • In the case of an edgeball, the rally is repeated.
